Hello Everyone

I hope your new year is off to a fabulous start, both personally as well as professionally. I am writing this on the day before our CEA Directors meeting. I am very excited about 2012, there is a lot going on in our industry that your state directors will be dealing with and I am looking forward to being a part of that process.

I will be co-chairing the conference committee this year with Debi Faber, President of the Orange County Escrow Association and we will have our first committee meeting tomorrow. We will be striving to bring something different to conference this year for your educational pleasure together with a dash of fun and camaraderie.

I love listening to our meeting room buzz in Long Beach when you are all there talking and laughing together, it is so very important for us to do that. I want to bring that kind of a vibe to conference this year. Laughter truly is food for the soul and it seems as though it has been a luxury item lately for a lot of us, so I really want to bring that back to conference this year.

I encourage you to please start saving now for conference, it is local (in Costa Mesa) and it won’t take too many notary checks to make that happen. If you have never attended one of our conferences it is absolutely a must do. Conference always keeps me engaged and gives me the energy I need to get through the next year and I am convinced it would do the same for you, plus we will have a lot of fun!

I will receive the membership list tomorrow and we will have it updated on the website next week. We will also be posting some members only articles next week, if you have not sent your membership application in please do so. If you need one, you will find one at the site. I do know that we already have 30 members this year and that is one more than last year so I am pleased about that and I am hopeful we can get it to 40 this year or more!

Our March Dinner Meeting Flyer has been posted and we are doing a joint dinner meeting with the Southeast Escrow Association and we are hosting. I have been to several of their meetings and they are a lot like us, down to earth and fun, so talk to someone new at the meeting, network and have fun . The speaker is great and the topic is timely, make sure you get your reservation in early and we will see you then!
